Stormy's Pregnancy Update

On December 18th, we took Stormy in to be artificially inseminated. We used two of the three micro-minature bull straws we had retained at the vet and are hopeful they took. Stormy cycles every 21 days and if we don't see signs of estrus within the next few days, she should be breed. To confirm, we will likely do a blood test and take her to the vet for an ultrasound. If she's pregnant, she will be due sometime in late September!
Getting Stormy to the vet was a challenge to begin with and she burst through the fence the first time we tried to haul her and Ginger into the trailer. Trent and I were panicking, running up and down our neighborhood trying to coral them back onto our property and bribing them with sweet feed. There's a first time for everything!
After having Stormy examined, she slipped through the crack between the trailer and the cattle gate of the vet. With all hands on deck, we were running around like a bunch of crazy people trying to bring her back to the trailer from the massive stock yard. She is our escape artist and I can't see that changing anytime soon.
